Onboarding Proposal

First Week at Cliffwater

Keep the Day One process exactly as it is. Add a short library of recorded sessions — one per business area — that every new hire watches during week one, so they arrive at their desk already speaking the language of the firm.

Day One

What already works staysNo change

The existing first-day sequence is unchanged. Everything proposed here sits on top of it.

1

HR Orientation

Paperwork, benefits, policies, building access.

2

IT Setup with Reboot

Hardware, accounts, systems access.

3

Welcome Meeting with Manager

Role expectations, team introductions, first-week plan.

Week One

Eleven recorded sessions, four tracks

Each session is recorded once over Zoom by the person who owns the subject, then reused for every hire. New hires watch the tracks relevant to their seat — investment, sales, or operations — during their first week.

Next Steps

What we need to record

Three open items before recording can be scheduled.

Confirm three presenters

Session 1 (Blake, Steve or Phil), Session 5 (Liz Campbell or PVH), and the co-presenter split on Sessions 6, 7 and 10.

Define two agendas

Session 9 is presenter's discretion and Session 11 has no outline yet. Both need a topic list before the invite goes out.

Pick the home for the videos

A simple internal page linking all eleven recordings, so the library is one URL a manager can send on day one.
